About Scott Matalon, Founder

With nearly 14 years of experience in public safety, I’ve dedicated my career to protecting lives, empowering responders, and building the systems that allow people to feel safe—because I know that behind every assignment is someone’s family, someone’s livelihood, someone’s peace of mind.

My foundation was forged at the Oxnard Police Department, where I spent close to a decade serving in a range of demanding roles. From patrolling neighborhoods to responding to critical incidents, I learned firsthand what true readiness means. I later expanded my skill set by joining the Crime Scene Team, developing technical expertise in forensic evidence collection, and by serving as a Digital Surveillance Team member, where I designed and deployed both covert and overt camera systems to support high-risk investigations and public safety operations.

My passion for planning and resilience led me into emergency management. As a Digital Technician for the Emergency Operations Center, I supported citywide coordination during crises, helping ensure clear communication under pressure. I later served as the Emergency Preparedness and Communications Manager for the City of Port Hueneme, overseeing emergency response strategies and citywide communication planning. I’ve also had the privilege of shaping the next generation of protectors as a POST Academy Instructor, teaching the art and discipline of professional report writing.

Today, I bring this multi-dimensional experience to the private sector as a Digital Security Consultant for security firms ready to evolve. My mission is to help security companies harness powerful tools—3D site modeling, aerial imagery, schematic planning, and secure digital platforms—to elevate their services, win new business, and protect clients at a higher standard.

But my work goes beyond technology. I understand that real security is about trust, preparation, and presence. It’s about empowering teams with the tools and insight they need to anticipate threats, act with precision, and reassure the people they serve.
